The functions highlighted in Orange are all only available if you are logged in as a Registered User or Member of the McCarrison Society except to Search this website, where non-logged in users see less results, or to READ public pages on the Forum.
Some articles that are publicly viewable include the facility to add your own comments, and view the comments of others, but this is only available while logged-in.
Website users who register an account are able to interact with the website in various ways.The ability to view and search additional material, including the content of earlier Newsletters and articles for viewing restricted to Registered Users. Members can also read and download the current edition of the Newsletter.
You can add "useful links" to web content you think may be of interest to other public and registered users, but these will be vetted by a moderator before being published. You will need to "paste in" the URL (eg http://www......) and provide a very short introductory text. You will be able to further modify your own submissions. Contributors should be careful to acknowledge copyright etc and comply with external websites policy on linking to their content.
Members of the McCarrison Societycan also submit "news items" and can edit all content that they have created themselves or that the Administrator has re-allocated to them. This is available where the "Edit" symbol is displayed in the title box.
The general public can READ the FORUM content, but registered users can post topics, reply to others and also edit their own posts. Members of the McCarrison Society can see and contribute additional content restricted to Members.
